We provide downloads for x64 (AMD64) and Arm (64-bit, aarch64) processors. Most computers use Intel and AMD x64 processors. Newer devices such as an Apple silicon Mac, a Microsoft Surface Pro X, or certain modern Linux laptops, use an Arm processor. If you are unsure which processor you have, try the Intel/x64 version first.

Xecrets Ez is a graphical desktop app to easily password protect files with strong file encryption and decryption by non-technical users.

You can try all premium features for a limited time trial without any cost, and thereafter it reverts back to the free version if you cancel the subscription during the trial.
You can always decrypt your encrypted files regardless of having a subscription or not, as long as you know the password. We will never lock you out of your files due to non-payment!
Xecrets Cli is the component doing all actual cryptography, i.e. encryption and decryption. It is a derived work from the well-known AxCrypt[2] but repurposed by the original author into a command line tool without any graphical user interface or dependency on a server or the Internet. It is licensed under GPL as open source free software. Our ready made tested pre-built binary is free to use for regular interactive and script use, except for some specific features targeting programmatic integration into business processes and other software. There is a limited time trial without any cost, and thereafter you can still use the binaries with the restriction that encrypting files larger than 1 MB is not allowed when using the features for programmatic integration, or you can download the source and build your own. It is perfect for scripting and development of applications, just like we did with Xecrets Ez.
We test our 64-bit pre-built binaries on Windows 11, Ubuntu 24.04 and macOS 15 Sequoia. Your mileage may vary on other versions or other hardware. Please contact support if you are experiencing problems.
